I addition to all of the modifications I have been making at East Coast Garage I have also been up to a little cosmetic work in the interior and the engine bay thanks to my friend Benny at Full Circuit Motorsports.
Benny over at Full Circuit has been making various carbon fiber parts for all kinds of cars like the TC and Genesis for quite some time now. I went to him looking to see if he could do something to spruce up my interior and engine bay.
We considered making all new parts using mold but the tolerances in the parts meant they had to be so exact getting perfect fitment was tough. We also ran into the issue of making mounts to match the factory ones which was tough.
In the end we decided to "skin" or "overlay" the factory parts to ensure perfect fits. We did decide to use molded parts for the pulley covers. In the interior we did the 2 panels in the dash, the door handles, AC trim rings and the gauge surround. Under the hood we did the "crab" engine cover along with the pulley covers.
I had also picked up one of the "replica" factory diffusers and thought, hey this would look great in carbon fiber. The whole diffuser was taken apart and the main section was skinned in carbon fiber. Then Doug over at East Coast Garage re riveted the whole thing back together and modified it to fit with the APR rear spats I have.
You can get all these parts by contacting Benny through his website. The new products are not on his store yet but you can just email him for inquiries.
